Position Description

As a full-stack developer, you will join the IT Services department which supports teaching, research, and administration by providing services in the field of information and communication technologies. It operates the necessary, comprehensive infrastructures, information systems, and applications.

• Budget: 130 – 150 PLN/net/h + VAT for mid/ 160 - 180 PLN/net/h + VAT for senior

Project Scope

• Developing the openBIS core codebase as well as software extensions to facilitate data management and sharing between research groups in various research support and Open Research Data projects
• Migrating functionality from the older UI to the newer one
• Bridging of the technical foundations of the two UIs
• Adoption of more modern programmatic features JSON for data input and a clean REST interface
• Extension of the UI and data model to support the materials science and botanical science ORD projects, and similar ones that will be approved at future dates

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Java with a good working knowledge of the latest Java developments
• 3+ years of experience in JavaScript, very good knowledge in recent JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Experience with PostgreSQL or another modern Relational Database System and a good working knowledge of SQL
• Good skills in Python
• Knowledge of research data management apps (as a developer or expert user)
• Sufficient familiarity with the current openBIS codebase, including its main components, overall architecture, key classes, APIs, and code entry points is necessary
