ETL/Python Automation QE

Job Description

This hands-on automation tester will be responsible for analysis of requirements, design, and scripting, testing, debugging and deployment of solution for Test Automation of ETL/SQL based Applications as part of this program.

Key business deliverables include: Creation and/or updating of test automation scripts for Core Processing applications using ETL/Python based test automation solution.

Job Functions/Duties And Responsibilities

• Work in Agile Squad as developer
• Ensure high quality of deliverables while enforcing development best practices
• Participate in Design discussions
• Adhere to application development guidelines and help improve the guidelines
• Collaborate as team to deliver on ETL/Python automation and its integration with CI/CD pipeline
• Actively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies

Skills Required

• 6-7 years of proven work experience in QA with an emphasis on ETL testing and QA automation.
• 2+ years of demonstrable experience in ETL testing and data analysis.
• Working knowledge and experience of unix & shell scripts.
• Proficiency in usage of SQL queries for databases or large datasets.
• In-depth knowledge of test management software (e.g. Xray, ALM, Jira).
• Proficiency in usage of SQL queries for databases or large datasets.
• Experience in Agile methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with good communication skills to work effectively in a global team.

Skills Desired

• Working knowledge of cloud-based application architecture and principles.
• Experience in automation technologies including Selenium, Cypress, Junit, Gherkin, JMeter etc. and scripting languages including java.
• Experience in Devops with Integrating automated tests in Continuous Integration and Delivery pipeline.
• Prior experience working in the Financial Services Industry.
