Description
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our cutting-edge software solutions. You will work closely with the RF Next Services team to develop K8s operators, and microservices.
This position is eligible for up to 60% telework.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and maintain scalable and high-performance software applications using best practices and industry standards.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Conduct thorough testing of software applications to ensure reliability, security, and optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate software deployment and monitoring processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in software engineering and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve our software products.
Requirements
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Required Skills:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator: Proficient in managing and administering Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
- Container and Container Orchestration Experience: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- High-speed Networking and Network Protocol Experience (Preferred): Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and experience optimizing network performance.
- Python: Strong programming skills in Python with experience in developing scalable and efficient software applications.
- GitOps - Agile Dev(Sec)Ops using GitLab Experience: Familiarity with GitOps principles and experience using GitLab for agile development, security operations, and CI/CD workflows.
- API Development Experience: Experience in designing and implementing APIs using technologies such as gRPC, CORBA, REST, etc.
- Linux / Unix Experience: Proficient in Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools for software development and debugging.
- High-speed, Distributed Processing Application Development Experience: Experience in developing high-performance, distributed processing applications, leveraging technologies like distributed computing frameworks, message queues, or stream processing platforms.
