Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of our medical devices. The ideal candidate will have experience in both manual testing and test automation, with a strong background in C/C++/C# programming languages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded software applications in medical devices.
  • Conduct manual testing of embedded software for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to streamline testing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify software defects, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolutions.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Analyze test results and provide clear and concise reports to stakeholders, including recommendations for improvements.
  • Document test results, defects, and test procedures accurately and comprehensively.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, standards, and regulatory requirements related to medical device software testing.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to the overall product development lifecycle.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members / interns on testing methodologies and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years experience.
  • Proven experience in embedded software testing for medical devices or safety-critical systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, and/or C#.
  • C# - object oriented experience is particularly desired.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Experience in manual testing, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and guidelines (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, ISO 13485) for medical device software development is a plus
