Summary

Responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the Mailman and Postfix applications to ensure reliable and efficient email delivery. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of Mailman and Postfix, and a proactive approach to email monitoring and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Mailman and Postfix applications on Linux servers.
• Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of Mailman and Postfix systems, addressing any performance or reliability issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any email delivery or system-related problems.
• Perform regular system backups and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in Mailman and Postfix technologies, suggesting and implementing improvements when necessary.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and end-users regarding Mailman and Postfix systems.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RedHat, Ubuntu) and command-line administration.
• Strong experience in Mailman and Postfix installation, configuration, and management.
• Familiarity with email protocols (SMTP, POP3, IMAP) and email delivery concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and task automation.
• Good knowledge of Python virtual environments to manage and control the dependencies and packages for Python projects.
• Good understanding of Django for deployment and configuration aspects to effectively manage the deployment and operation of Django-based web applications.
