About Us

4C (Common Code for the Coffee Community) is a sustainability certification scheme for the coffee industry. It focuses on good agricultural and management practices, including requirements on economic, social, and environmental conditions for coffee production and processing to establish credible sustainable and transparent supply chains. Independent certification bodies verify compliance with the 4C requirements. 4C operates in 20 countries and is the largest certification system in the coffee sector. It is also a highly innovative standard working on crucial topics such as reduction and offsetting of carbon footprint, biodiversity improvement, and empowering women in coffee.

Your Tasks

At 4C, the team is a group of highly motivated, supportive, and committed young professionals with various backgrounds. If you believe you are a good fit, we are excited to welcome you to our team at the 4C head office in Cologne.

  • Develop and implement new features in the highly customized Python-based ERP system “Odoo”
  • Create and maintain additional tools (e.g., Excel templates) to be used in conjunction with Odoo by external users in remote areas
  • Provide technical support to international system users – both internal and external
  • Prepare guidance and/or training material for the developed features and templates

Your Profile

University degree in computer science or related fields. Fluency in English (both written and spoken). Additional language skills (especially Spanish, Portuguese, or Vietnamese) are advantageous. Experience with Python & relational databases. Preferably development experience with Odoo or parts of the underlying software stack/python libraries. Preferably experience with the administration of Linux-based systems. Connection to and affinity for sustainability topics. Outstanding communication and organizational skills, high commitment, reliability, strong customer and team orientation, flexibility, and good self-organization.
