Data Scientist Role Overview

Scalexperts have partnered with a company seeking a Data Scientist for a remote position with a salary of £70-80k. The Data Scientist will join a new AI team and be involved in developing AI solutions within the firm's SaaS offering. This role requires experience in data science and AI, focusing on analytical modelling and practical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysing large and complex data sets to uncover meaningful patterns and trends
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and formulating data-driven solutions
• Identifying relevant data sources to support AI initiatives
• Developing data pipelines to clean, transform, and prep data for modelling
• Applying statistical models to test hypotheses for data-driven decisions
• Designing, developing, and implementing AI models
• Deploying AI solutions into production environments and iterating on them for improvement
• Sharing AI/ML knowledge with the wider product development team to upskill various departments on AI/ML technologies

Key Skills Required

• Experience in a Data Scientist position with knowledge of R and Python
• Knowledge of AI libraries and frameworks
• Understanding of statistical methods and their applications to real work scenarios
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles
• Experience with a cloud platform, ideally AWS
• Previous experience of working with engineering teams to put models into production

This is a remote role with occasional meetups once every month or so.
