Data Scientist - Bioinformatics (m/f/d)

As a bioinformatics data scientist, you will analyze omics datasets for our international clients and contribute to the development of new methods and pipelines, for the analysis and interpretation of mass spectrometry-derived proteomics and multi-omics datasets. We strive to operate at the forefront of technology and routinely incorporate new technologies into our constantly expanding portfolio of services.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze omics datasets to discover insights and identify potential biomarkers.
  • Develop tools for data analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
  • Share your findings through presentations at conferences and direct client interactions.
  • Contribute to impactful commercial and research reports.

Your Profile:

  • Passionate about applying statistical and machine learning methods to omics data.
  • Holds a postgraduate degree in bioinformatics or a related field; candidates with experience in applied statistics or data science, particularly those interested in biological datasets, are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Python; familiarity with R and MySQL is desirable.
  • Knowledgeable about workflow management systems such as Nextflow and Snakemake, especially within a Linux environment.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills in English and demonstrates a strong collaborative spirit.
