Job Description
We’re looking for a Data Risk Analyst to join us on a fixed-term contract of up to 12-months to help provide clear, engaging, and accessible risk data that our senior leaders can use to support their decision-making. It’s so important that our colleagues have the tools and knowledge they need to access this data, and considerations around UX/UI are key to this.
As a Data Risk Analyst at Co-op, we’ll look to you to put processes and procedures in place to make sure we’re using data in a safe and compliant way. You’ll also collaborate with colleagues across the wider business to highlight the importance of managing data risk.
What you’ll do
- Work with various types of data and develop processes relating to policy adherence and data risk across Co-op
- Support the data risk and control framework and track risk exposure
- Work with colleagues across the wider business to promote standard processes and compliance around data risk and control
- Collaborate with our Data Protection and Information Security teams to explore the broader data risk approach at Co-op
- Develop interfaces that provide risk reports at our fingertips and carry-out assurance reviews; making sure that data risks are reviewed, up to date, and minimised
This role would suit people who have
- Experience in a development or analytical role
- Experience using Python or R
- Experience with front end web design
- A solid understanding of UX/UI with the ability to use Microsoft Power Apps to build interfaces
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, with the ability to translate technical language for non-technical audiences
Benefits
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
- Coaching and training to support your career development
- Wagestream – a money management app that gives you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- YuLife – an app that rewards you for exercising with discounts and vouchers for your favourite brands
