Job Description
Infosys is seeking an Data Modeler Consultant. The position will primarily be responsible for design, implement, and understands and documents data architecture and data modeling solutions which include the use of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases. Required Qualifications
- The project location is on-site in Raleigh, NC. The candidate will be required to work in EST business hours. This position may require travel in the US.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- US citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.
- At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology
- Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
- Evaluating existing data systems. Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
- Knowledge of Python is required.
- Working experience in Redshift or any other cloud databases
- Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
- Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
- Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
- Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
- Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Financial services industry
- Sound knowledge of software engineering design patterns and practices
- Good understanding of Agile software development frameworks
- Strong communication and Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in teams in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment comprising of Business and Technology teams.
- Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
