Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Engineer (Snowflake, Python, AWS) in Durham, NC.
- Exploring new technology products and using them to help our business needs
- Data Engineer (Snowflake, Python, AWS) will work on teams to improve productivity
- Delivering system automation by setting up continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required with 10+ years of experience
- 8+ years of experience working with relational databases and handling large sets of data, with excellent SQL skills
- Strong experience with these database technologies - Snowflake and Oracle
- Experience in Cloud technologies (AWS), including Docker and EKS
- Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, Docker)
- Experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and Scrum)
- Strong design skills for a large data platform
- Proven data analysis skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
- Passion and intellectually curiosity to learn new technologies and business areas
- Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and work in fast paced environment
- Ability to develop ELT/ETL pipelines to move data to and from Snowflake data store using combination of Python and Snowflake Snow SQL
- Bonus skillset - experience with API development or Kafka event streaming
Salary
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary
$66 - $74 per hour
