Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled mid to senior level Python Data Engineer to join our clients’ team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Node.js, Python, SQL, and Java, with preferred experience in Slurm and Kubernetes. Responsibilities include data pipeline development, data integration, database management, software development, Linux job scheduling, containerization, streaming data, data quality, performance optimization, and documentation. The candidate will be required to work on-site at our clients’ office in Downtown Houston.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 5 years of data engineering experience
• Proficiency in data engineering technologies including Node.js, Python, SQL, and Java
• Experience with Linux job scheduling systems such as Slurm
• Knowledge of containerization technologies, especially Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Commitment to best practices in data engineering, including data security and privacy considerations
