Job Description

• As part of our Data Engineering Team, you will help shape the future of our software.
• You will develop testing tools and test to keep the data accessible and ready for analysis.
• Your tasks will include building testing tools, writing test data generators, ETL, and testing the Database Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements.
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources.
• Build/use analytics tools for actionable insights.
• Work with stakeholders to support their data infrastructure needs.
• Guide/mentor the development team and provide technical support.

Qualifications

Must have: 5+ years of professional experience

Experience with:

• Object function scripting/object-oriented languages: Python
• SQL
• Relational and NoSQL databases
• Bash shell script (Linux)
• Google Cloud Platform (preferred), Azure, AWS - Cloud service providers
• GCP Dataproc, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions

Working knowledge of highly scalable 'big data' datastore and Apache Spark

Willing to develop:

• Scala
• Terraform
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)
• Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Airflow, Azkaban, Luigi, etc.
• Knowledge of Visualization tools: Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
