Summary
Oscar is currently recruiting for a Data Analyst for a large company with an office in Central Manchester, close to major transport links. This position is offered on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in the office. This is a mathematical, python orientated modelling data analyst role.

This is a company we have worked with for many years and placed numerous people into their data & analytics departments. It's a large company with significant operations in the UK and Europe and a huge amount of recent investment to level up almost every aspect of their operations. They are on a huge growth trajectory, alongside multiple internal projects to improve their systems / architecture and technical capability.
Oscar have worked with this company for many years, especially with their Data & Analytics team. They are highly data driven, the use of data is paramount to their business operations and this role exemplifies this.
The Role
In this role you will play a key part in delivering real financial benefits, providing operational and position analysis, innovations, insight, and contributing to improve our decision making. You will see decisions and recommendations turn into actions and see tangible results from the work you do.
This role encompasses a huge variety of data and the position straddles analytics and business operations. You will complete effective market analysis, incorporating a wide variety of factors to provide key insights which will drive improved offerings for their customers as well as improve profitability of the business.
Your Responsibilities / Accountabilities In This Role Will Be:
- In depth analysis and insight of a wide variety of data
- Monitor and amend pricing tools.
- Oversight of data flows
- Assist the wider team in delivering against financial targets.
- Optimisation of risk.
Requirements
Strong numerical academic background
Strong Programming skills - Python / SQL
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
