E Source provides predictive data science, research and advisory, and solution services to help utilities make decisions that benefit their customers, their bottom line, and our planet.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with data management (MDM) professionals to ensure that data sources are accurate, available, and analyzable
- Interact hands-on with Tableau Desktop (dashboard creation, report authoring and troubleshooting, and data source management) and Power BI
- Create and edit SQL queries within Tableau to build calculated fields
- Create interactive filters, parameters, and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau
- Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Server; collaborate with MDM programmers and QA analysts to test, clean, and standardize data to meet business requirements
- Work cross-functionally with various departments, including business stakeholders and technical personnel, to exchange ideas
- Develop models using Python
What Will Make You a Good Fit
- At least five years of experience designing and developing business intelligence dashboards using Tableau or Power BI
- At least five years in the UI/Experience working with large and complex datasets, and writing simple queries to create calculated fields
- Empirical understanding of data systems (BI analytics, data blending, data warehousing, data ETL, etc.) for process automation and standardization
- Experience working in a support team environment by documenting, researching, and solving problems via phone calls or a ticketing system
- Experience working directly with business analysts or business sponsors to gather and validate functional requirements and provide design specifications
- Develop code using Python
