Department Overview
The Business Intelligence Specialist manages a diverse portfolio of business activities/ reporting. Responsibilities include providing the design and development of complex presentations, reports, dashboards, and scorecards to support business needs, ensuring alignment of metrics across the organization, and acting as a technical working lead/resource to others. The role involves working closely with senior leadership on significant projects.
Job Description
Depth & Scope: The role works autonomously and is accountable for acting as a lead within a specialized BI & Reporting function. Provides seasoned specialized knowledge, advice, and guidance to various stakeholders and team members. Manages communication at a senior and executive level.
Job Requirements: The candidate should have a relevant undergraduate degree, 7+ years of relevant experience from an information management, computer science, programming specific, or financial background. Proficient PC skills including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and analytical and reporting software packages are required, as well as expert knowledge of various data sources, tools, and technologies used in preparing summaries and reports. Additionally, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include strong SQL and Alteryx skills, programming skills such as Python and SAS, advanced statistical analysis skills (SAS/R), and Tableau skills.
