Your New Role
As a Back-End Software Architect, you will be responsible for coding APIs, Data Streaming Services, ETL Processes, Business Intelligence Applications, and Automated Services. Your role involves maintaining and enhancing existing BE applications, as well as creating new applications using the latest technologies. You will also play a key role in architectural decision-making and mentoring other developers.
What You'll Be Working On
- Work closely with team members to maintain existing data capture, BI, and automation services
- Design and create new back-end services and features
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
- Drive estimation and architecture for new and existing products
- Learn new technologies and frameworks as needed
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to drive innovation
What You Will Be Bringing to Your New Role
- 5+ years Professional Software Development Experience
- Proficiency with an object-oriented programming language (Python preferred)
- Experience developing REST APIs in Django or a similar framework
- Experience with Agile development practices (Scrum/Kanban)
- Proficiency with Unix-based systems and CLIs
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL or Postgres) and code versioning tools (git)
Additional Consideration Given to Candidates With
- Experience with Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, and Machine Learning tools
- Experience building GraphQL APIs and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and server administration tasks
