£450 per day inside IR35

A leading travel technology company is looking for an experienced Back End developer to join their team on a contract basis. This role will involve working on a flagship digital solution for our client's clients and customers in the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining our client's digital solution.

Your responsibilities include:

Analysing Product Specifications:

Define user requirements for the development of new or upgraded software solutions.

Design Systems and Code:

Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and users for validation.

Test and Maintain the Product Software:

Conduct unit, package, and performance tests to ensure quality in line with guidelines.
Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary.
Support customers by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Managers.
Produce relevant application software documentation.

Key Skills and Experience:

Degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent industry experience.
Full Stack development experience with Angular/Angular JS.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Typescript/JavaScript, Bootstrap.
Knowledge of Back End development with languages like C, C++, or Python.
Strong commitment to excellence, responsibility, collaboration, and customer-centric approach.
Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal stakeholders.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

SCM knowledge, preferably Git/Bitbucket.
Knowledge of distributed systems/service-oriented architectures.
Ability to define a REST API using Swagger/OpenAPI.
Experience in building and deploying applications in the cloud.
Familiarity with Unit Testing frameworks like Karma, Playwright for UI, GTest for C++ or similar.
Experience in Agile development.
