£450 per day inside IR35

A leading travel technology company is looking for an experienced Back End developer to join their team on a contract basis. This role will involve working on a flagship digital solution for our client's clients and customers in the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, coding, testing, and maintaining our client's digital solution.

Your responsibilities include:

Analysing Product Specifications:

  • Define user requirements for the development of new or upgraded software solutions.

Design Systems and Code:

  • Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
  • Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and users for validation.

Test and Maintain the Product Software:

  • Conduct unit, package, and performance tests to ensure quality in line with guidelines.
  • Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary.
  • Support customers by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with Product Managers.
  • Produce relevant application software documentation.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Full Stack development experience with Angular/Angular JS.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Typescript/JavaScript, Bootstrap.
  • Knowledge of Back End development with languages like C, C++, or Python.
  • Strong commitment to excellence, responsibility, collaboration, and customer-centric approach.
  • Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal stakeholders.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • SCM knowledge, preferably Git/Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems/service-oriented architectures.
  • Ability to define a REST API using Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Experience in building and deploying applications in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with Unit Testing frameworks like Karma, Playwright for UI, GTest for C++ or similar.
  • Experience in Agile development.
