Job Details
- Title: AWS Solution Architect/application developer with Python
- Location: Piscataway, NJ
- Duration: 6 months
- Position type: W2 contract
Skills
- Primary Skills: AWS, Python, 40+ different application development. We are looking for someone with a very strong development background and is currently a Solution Architect.
- Secondary Skills: Informatica, SQL, and .NET (Nice to have)
Technical Expertise
Python Proficiency:
- Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Understanding of Python libraries and frameworks relevant to the project (e.g., Pyspark).
- Implementing best practices for Python development.
AWS Proficiency:
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
- Architecting scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.
- Managing AWS resources and optimizing cloud expenses.
Leadership and Coordination
Team Management:
- Leading a diverse team of software developers, possibly with various levels of expertise.
- Distributing tasks effectively based on team members' strengths.
- Ensuring the professional growth of team members through mentorship and training.
Client Stakeholder Coordination:
- Acting as the primary point of contact between the development team and the client.
- Understanding client requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
- Managing expectations and ensuring that deliverables meet client needs.
Project Management
Agile Methodologies:
- Implementing and managing Agile processes like Scrum or Kanban.
- Conducting regular stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Tracking project progress using tools like JIRA or Trello.
Communication
- Facilitating effective communication within the team.
- Resolving conflicts and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Clearly conveying project status and technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Negotiating timelines and scope changes when necessary.
Problem-Solving
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Analyzing complex systems and making decisions based on multiple factors.
Additional Considerations
- Being able to work with and lead team members from varied geographical parts.
- Certifications: Having relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP, CSM) could be beneficial.
