Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for an AWS Python Developer to join our financial services team in Belton, TX, Columbia, SC, Plano, TX or Reston, VA or anywhere in the US where CGI has an office in the Central/Eastern Time Zone.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Participate in code reviews with peers and managers to ensure that each increment adheres to original vision as described in the user story and all standard resource libraries and architecture patterns as appropriate.
- Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies.
- Participate in all team ceremonies including planning, grooming, product demonstration and team retrospectives.
- Understand and utilize DevOps tool stack to build, inspect, deploy, test and promote new or updated features.
- Available to respond to trouble/support calls for applications in production in order to make quick repair to keep application running in production.
- Create or Update documentation in support of development efforts.
- Work with product owners and other development team members to determine new features and user stories needed in new or revised application.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Minimum of 6-8 years development experience in IT.
- 3-4 years extensive experience developing and deploying application on AWS Cloud.
- Strong development experience developing scalable code in Python/PySpark.
- Hands-on experience in working with API's using Python and API Gateway, Kinesia, and streaming experience.
- Experience building API on AWS cloud.
- AWS experience to include proficiency in Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, Step Functions, EMR, Glue.
- Develop sound version control best practices-based code deployment in AWS.
- Hands-on experience CI/CD with Terraform pipelines and Gitlab Experience CI/CD with AWS CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodDeploy and CodePipeline.
- Experience in scripting and automation using Python, PHP, Node.js, etc.
- Strong SQL skills in databases, including DynamoDB, Postgres, Oracle, etc.
- Hands-on experience in application monitoring and tuning.
- Experience deploying serverless application, familiarity with AWS Services.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field.
