Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role as an Assistant Machine Learning Engineer. The role involves working in Irvine, CA, with considerable flexibility for remote work. The Assistant Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for assisting the lead engineers with day-to-day tasks. Such tasks may include developing and data pipelines, data cleanup, implementing data annotation pipelines, implementing machine learning algorithms, performing statistical analysis, and utilizing neural networks to create practical solutions.
Qualifications
- As this is a part-time assistant level position, we are looking to hire someone who newly graduated with an associate of science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- As this is a part-time role, we're open to considering current BSc students in their third or fourth year as well.
- Two years of relevant work experience will also suffice.
- Experience with programming in Python
- A basic understanding of Computer Science principles
- Experience implementing algorithms
- A willingness to learn and take direction
- A passion for machine learning and artificial intelligence is a plus.
TLDR; we're really looking for a paid intern to help us out with some more mundane tasks. You will have opportunities to learn. This would be a good role for someone currently completing their undergraduate degree. Candidates must be able to legally work in the United States.
