Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, development, and deployment of the Python Innovation Team's platform. This platform makes it easier for coders to build solutions, and have their solutions shared and available to everyone, while getting recognition for their work
  • Your role as an engineer will cover the strategy, priorities, and execution of many different projects and initiatives and will be an exciting way to have a major impact on the organization
  • You will serve as a support resource and Python champion within the business, sharing your expertise, creating partnerships, and coaching employees
  • You will have the opportunity to drive innovative coding projects with collaboration from the Python community

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Python knowledge and coding ability with 2+ years of experience
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience designing and implementing Python infrastructure
  • Experience developing with web development tools e.g. Django, Flask
  • Experience with database management systems, relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with developing solutions on cloud platforms e.g. CloudFoundry, AWS
  • Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures i.e. Git, Bitbucket
  • Technical depth and ability to rapidly understand and communicate the impact of solutions and technology

  • Inherent curiosity and drive towards innovation
  • Passion for helping others succeed and providing them with technical support and coaching
  • Business acumen to be able to successfully engage with business leaders to understand their needs and tailor trainings accordingly
  • Strong organizational, strategy, and planning skills
  • Desire to foster and advance a strong Python community
  • Ability to work on a small team, drive initiatives, and be a self-starter
