Python Tech Lead with SDVI - Rally (Media Supply Chain)
- GlobalLogic have a new Contract role, working INSIDE IR35
- We are looking for a Lead Python Developer with experience of SDVI (Rally) Media supply chain
- This role is fully remote and will run initially until the end of December 2024
Role Details
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions for SDVI, with a strong emphasis on Python programming
- Create and maintain efficient algorithms and data structures for managing video infrastructure resources
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software systems, providing timely resolutions and enhancements
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices
- Document software designs, implementation details, and troubleshooting procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference
Key Skills And Experience
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language, with expertise in developing scalable and efficient software solutions
- Experience with SDVI platforms and technologies, such as SDN (Software Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualization), is required
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of video encoding/transcoding technologies and standards, such as MPEG-DASH and HLS, is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
